Terms and Conditions – PlayPals.ca Web App Free Test version 2024.

 

You warrant that you are over 21 years old, mentally healthy, are up to date on your local Covid-19 health restrictions & guidelines and will adjust your PlayPals activity accordingly.

 

This is a free-test version of the PlayPals App, the purpose of which is for you, as a participant, is to test and provide feedback on its quality and usability.

Currently, we only support the following OS/Browsers:

Desktop: Chrome, Firefox

Android Mobile: Chrome, Firefox

iPhone Mobile: Firefox

 

​For safety issues, all playpals must use a current profile-photo for local confirmation and identification, anyone without one will be removed without notification.

For each game event, whether played outside or not, all playpals must provide a safe, accessible, and social welcoming space for all, whether they are the host or players.

 

You warrant that you are 21 years of age or over and that you understand and agree that participation in this test is voluntary and does not create a legal partnership, agency, or employment relationship between you and the PlayPals team or founders, and neither you nor PlayPals has any authority to bind the other.

We also reserve the right to modify the terms, conditions, and policies of this App at any time without notice, and to revoke your participation at any time.

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, PlayPals hereby grants you a personal profile and limited license to use the PlayPals app solely for testing and evaluation purposes and only in connection with this free-test version. 

This license does not grant you the right to use the PlayPals software for any other purpose, or to disclose, reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works of the PlayPals software or content shared within unless agreed upon directly with the PlayPals founder.

As part of the testing, PlayPals invites you to submit feedback, and by agreeing to this agreement, you agree that the PlayPals team may contact you from time to time about the app, and you hereby consent to receive such communications.

You agree that in the absence of a separate written agreement to the contrary, PlayPals will be free to use any feedback you provide for any improvement purpose.

In order to test and improve PlayPals, you agree that PlayPals and its agents may check and analyze any information that you upload into the app, as well as diagnostic and usage logs from your devices or browsers as part of this testing process.

You agree that in order to use the app, any information that you upload to the app, including your personal information, may be shared with other users according to game events and local-social needs.

You agree that your use of the PlayPals app and participation in the game-events created by its users wherever they may be, are solely at your own risk, and you hereby state that you will fully indemnify PlayPals with respect to any loss that PlayPals may suffer as a direct or indirect result of your use of the PlayPals app or through participation in game-events hosted by PlayPals users including your own.

The PlayPals software or servers may be incomplete or contain errors or inaccuracies that could cause failures, corruption, reveal, or loss of data and/or information. 

PlayPals shall not be responsible for any costs, expenses, or other liabilities you may incur as a result of using the PlayPals app, sharing those events, your participation in these game-events, including but not limited to any damage to person or property, any equipment, software or data.

We also reserve the right to change your user’s status when the free testing version of the app is done.

This agreement is guided by the rules and regulations of the Ontario courts of law, Canada.
